I am in Zambia but there are certain things I want to buy on Amazon.com. Is this possible and will they deliver to me?

To shop on Amazon, one of the first things you need is a Visa or Mastercard. Then try buying whatever you want from them and use your address as the shipping address. If it is possible and the transaction sails through, it means they will deliver to you else Amazon will automatically tell you that they don't deliver to Zambia. Try it fist and see. I know that Amazon is gradually shipping more items to Africa but I don't know how much of Africa is covered and if Zambia is included.
