Jonathan is the first president from the oil rich Niger delta and at least deserves a second chance in office as president just like Obasanjo had. He is also the only surviving fully blooded civilian president Nigeria has had since the emergence of the 4th republic. We need to stop voting for former military men who insulted our democracy.

Because Jonathan is the people's choice while Buhari is the choice of retired army generals who still want to rule this country. You should be asking why people like Obasanjo, Abdusalam and Babangida are supporting Buhari. It's because he is one of them and has even given assurance that he will not prosecute them. Army people stick for themselves and so civilians should also stick for themselves and not allow another coup in agbada to take place.
