    Aliko Dangote and according to Forbes, he is currently the richest man also in Africa and worth over $13bn and this is based on the value of his shares on the Nigerian stock exchange. He is richer than Facebook's owner

    I know the richest men in Nigeria. They don't have companies on the NSE. Former military presidents like IBB, Obasanjo and then Abacha family, Adenuga and so on.
    Dangote is only regarded as the richest man because of his listed shares on the NSE. In reality, that doesn't really make him the richest man in Nigeria as there is a whole lot of others
