I mean, if one is able to get an accommodation in Lagos by meeting with the landlord directly without any agent, do I still have to pay agent commission?

I have sold 3 heosus in the last 10 years and have nevr paid 6%. I was suprised when i saw this article. I didn't think anyone paid a that much. It has always been negoatable.
