Does Nigerian government engage prisoners in doing some work that contributes to the nation's economy and social welfare like manufacturing and road repairs. I think we need to start doing that given that there are a lot of bad roads and expensive products in Nigeria that could be manufactured cheaper.

In countries like China and the USA, the govt engage prisoners in manufacturing and this helps them make a lot of money while at the same time paying some commission to the prisoners.
