What are the advantages of prepaid electricity tariff in Nigeria?

In the past, Nigerians used to pay for electricity in arrears but nowadays, there are able to pay for it in advance before using it through the use of prepaid electricity meters. What are the advantages of this new method of paying for electricity

Re: What are the advantages of prepaid electricity tariff in Nigeria Reply by Edem on Tuesday November 3, 2015 at 16:0:35: One advantage I know of is that it encourages people to pay for the service they want to use without being indebted to the power company and in this way allows the power company operate their business profitably.. It's a win win for both parties. If you don't pay, then no electricity for you.
